Family fun at Borde Hill Garden

-

Borde Hill Garden opened its doors for the season this week, and to mark the occasion is giving one lucky reader a family membership for great days out at the gardens.

And a second reader will win a family day ticket for entry to the gardens during its packed programme of events.

The family membership is for two adults and up to three children, and includes unlimited access to the family-friendly Sussex garden throughout the open season (March 14 to November 1).

This includes entry to Bertram Bunny’s Easter Pirate Adventure between April 4 and 19, where visitors can explore the garden on the Easter trail and join Bertram Bunny on a ‘Easter Island’ adventure, seeking out the treasure hidden by Jumping Jack Bunny who has returned from the high seas. Find all the treasures and solve some puzzles along the way to receive a delicious chocolate treat – during the trail, there will be some pirate activities and a dressing-up box too.

Children can swing, climb, balance and slide their way through equipment at the Adventure Playground, including a thrilling zip wire for the most adventurous.

There will be daily crafts throughout the holiday for children to create an Easter or pirate-themed masterpiece to take home (there is a small charge of £1 for materials).

Spring is also a magical time to explore the garden and woodland, with an abundance of flowering magnolias, camellias, hellebores, daffodils and rhododendrons. Picnics and dogs on leads are welcome.
