Historic barbers is closing
The oldest barbershop in Mid Sussex is closing its doors forever this Friday (January 28).
Headmasters The Barbers, on Cyprus Road in Burgess Hill, has been open and cutting men’s hair since 1932.
Current manager, Jean Everst, has worked at the shop for 27 years and said it was ‘time for a change in her life’.
With no successor waiting to take over, it means she will close the business for good. Read a full report about the shop and its history in next
week’s Mid Sussex Times.
