Royal Sussex Regiment receives coop fund
The Royal Sussex Regiment association Mid Sussex branch has been chosen to benefit from the co-op community fund.
The Royal Sussex Regiment association are raising funds to support older comrades of The Royal Sussex Regiment who live on their own and suffering with loneliness.
The aim of the project is to get the old veterans to meet they younger members in a safe place have the same interest, plus get them back in to the community after the pandemic.
When Co-op members buy selected Co-op products or services, 2p from every pound spent goes to support the good cause.
Robert Piper, Royal Sussex Regiment association group member, said: “As you know over the last two years it has been really challenging for small groups like ours.
“The pandemic has affected our fundraising efforts, so we are grateful to have the partnership with our local co-op.
“We urging members of the co-op to choose us as their local cause, so we can deliver our help to more veteran in the Burgess hill and Hayward heath area.
