Villages host recycling initiative
Wivelsfield and Wivelsfield Green took the message of reduce, reuse, recycle and hosted their first recycling day on Saturday, March 19.
Residents put out their unwanted items for anyone else to come and collect for free, including baby items, household goods, clothing, and ornaments and more.
The initiative was implemented by the parish council and was the idea of district councillor Nancy Biks on after she saw something similar in Australia. She said: “All credit to the parish council for taking this on board and to the residents of Wivelsfield and Wivelsfield Green for making this a success.”
