Sun comes out for golf society
Cuckfield Golf Society’s latest Golf day was held at Rookwood Golf Club.
The day was sponsored by P&S Gallagher Funerals of Haywards Heath, who the society thanked for their support.
After gale-force winds at their last event the weather was a lot kinder this time with some warm sunshine.
The course was in very good condition with the greens running fast and true, which in turn was reflected in some good scoring from the 11 members playing.
Andy Goldsmith won the day with a very good 35 points with Simon Higgins second on countback from Martin Vincent, both on 33.
The longest drive prize was won by Tim Radmal and Martin also won the nearest the pin in three.
In the absence of the captain, secretary Jimmy Stakim presented the prizes to winners after a lovely meal.
