TABLE TENNIS LEAGUE

In the Premier Division, despite a brilliant treble from Michael Bridger, Hang Em High went down 5-4 to Horsham Spinners.

There were two each for Spinners Graham Beaney and Gary Wilson plus one for Erik Mol.

For Hang Em High Michael Bridger was unbeatable with his three wins while Christian Vincent defeated Erik Mol.

Third player Richard Cosens found the top team just too strong.

Second placed Divergents with only two players found it impossible to defeat Dynamos and lost 6-3.

Dynamos’ Richard and Matthew Caddy plus Dennis Hayden all took good advantage of Divergents’ missing player to register two wins each. This left Divergents’ top player Daniel Pound to carry his team with three wins.

An exciting close match had Ping Panthers overcoming Allstars 5-4. Sasha O’Halloran led Pings victory with a treble followed by Jeff Triggs with two.

For Allstars Freddy Goodhall won two but lost to Sasha in the fifth. Team companions Jeff Triggs and Nick Gilbert won one game each.

Crawley Knights overcame Crawley Community 9-1. It was unfortunate for Community as they could only field two players and most games went to four and five sets .

For the Knights including awarded games it was three each for Fawzi Yousif and Josef Krakovsky with two for Mina Mata.

For Community the highlight for the league was the return of Charlie Hough now out of the juniors and playing in the premier.
