Bissouma warned of yellow peril after latest suspension at Man City
Yves Bissouma missed the match against Manchester City after picking up another booking during the 1-0 victory at Tottenham.
Bissouma was superb at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium but was suspended for the trip to the Etihad.
Potter admits it’s an area of his game that the 26-yearold can improve on. “It is something he can improve and something that we can improve because that number is too high for the games that he has played, I think that is fair to say.
“I think he would say the same, but at the same time, it is a fine line because you know he is that type of player, and it is important he has that physicality and intensity in those defensive situations.
“You only have to mistime it, or something happens, and it can be a yellow card, and that is something that we can do better at in order to help him.”
Potter however is delighted with the progress his team has made this campaign. “We have done it with young players making their first few starts in the Premier League.
“They have taken some steps forward, even when we were losing.”
