Award winners to play at mayor’s charity event

-

A unique music theatre act is set to perform at the Haywards Heath town mayor’s charity evening next month to raise funds for a therapy garden for stroke survivors.

Bowjangles, who won the ‘Spirit of the Fringe’ Award at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, have appeared on TV and impressed audiences at festivals and weddings.

“Forget everything you know about a string quartet, Bowjangles bring a unique mix of music, comedy and theatre to our fundraiser,” said town mayor Howard Mundin.

The fundraiser for the Princess Royal Hospital’s Sussex Rehabilitation Centre takes place at the Bluebell Vineyard Estate at Glenmore Farm, Uckfield, on Thursday, May 12. Guests will be taken on a tour of the vineyard and wine-making process, and get to enjoy a tasting of cheese and wine, followed by Mediterranean food.

Tickets for the event cost £40 from maria.horne@ haywardsheath.gov.uk or 01444 455694.
