Dementia fight gets boost at golf day

-

A highlight of the Haywards Heath Golf Club seniors diary, the annual Charity Day, raised an impressive total of £1640 for the club’s 2022 charity, Dementia UK.

With the course in excellent shape a thanks go to the 66 Seniors who took part in the popular “Waltz” scoring formation in teams of 3, with 1, 2, and 3 players scoring in turn.

This gives a nominal par of 72 points and was well beaten this year by 12 of the 22 teams with the winning trio of Alex Dalgliesh, Andy Plowright and Al Turner scoring 83 points.

Pictured below are the winning team and Seniors Captain Andrew Lodge with Dementia UK Ambassador Bridget Pepper, who described it as ‘a wonderful total with many thanks to all concerned’.
