Our top model jets off to Egypt
A TEESSIDE beauty queen is heading to Egypt to represent England at the Top Model of the World international final.
On July 3 Rebecca Ridsdale, 19, will be jetting off to the Red Sea.
Rebecca, a diagnostic radiography student and former Miss Tees Valley, won the chance to represent the country after winning the Top Model of England title at the Supermodel England national final.
Rebecca, from Eston, has suffered from asthma since she was six months old. She said: “To look at me, you may not think there’s anything wrong with me at all, but I’m often in hospital after a severe attack. So along with all of the amazing opportunities that have come with winning my title, I also want to raise awareness for the illness.”
If Rebecca wins she will get $10,000 cash and prizes worth $20,000.
