Toast to a Tees-cider

A Tees-cider has developed his own brand of home brew with a distinctly local taste.

And the flavour is all to do with apples grown in orchards in Skelton and brewed up in to a tasty tipple in Redcar.

Redcar solicitor Julian Gaskin says Teesside can lay claim to be part of the traditiona­l apple growing belt of the country which makes for a cider that can boast an “almost

Prosecco dryness”.

“We’re at the very northern tip of the Tees-Exe line,” said Julian.

Hw will be at Saltburn Food Festival on Sunday, when more than 100 stalls will feature as well as a Live Cookery Theatre.
