Fair offers care advice
A CARE and Carer’s Fair will be heading to town for the first time this month.
The event will be held at the Lighthouse Project in Middleton Shopping Centre on Friday, October 12, between 11am and 3pm.
The aim of the event - which has been organised by charity Living Well - is to give people the opportunity to see what care services are available, who is eligible and to find out how much they will cost.
There will be chances to speak to care providers directly, while also being given the chance to find out what services the Lighthouse Project has to offer.
A spokesperson for the Lighthouse Project said: “If you visit someone on a regular basis, help them get dressed, make a sandwich or help them get to bed, be it family, a friend or neighbour, this event is for you.”
Leisure service provider, Link4Life, will also be hosting an event to coincide - which will be showcasing sport, health and wellbeing activities in the borough.
Tickets are available free of charge by either emailing betterhealth4middleton@ gmail.com or from eventbrite.co.uk.
