Fair of­fers care ad­vice

A CARE and Carer’s Fair will be head­ing to town for the first time this month.

The event will be held at the Light­house Project in Mid­dle­ton Shop­ping Cen­tre on Fri­day, Oc­to­ber 12, be­tween 11am and 3pm.

The aim of the event - which has been or­gan­ised by char­ity Liv­ing Well - is to give peo­ple the op­por­tu­nity to see what care ser­vices are avail­able, who is el­i­gi­ble and to find out how much they will cost.

There will be chances to speak to care providers di­rectly, while also be­ing given the chance to find out what ser­vices the Light­house Project has to of­fer.

A spokesper­son for the Light­house Project said: “If you visit some­one on a reg­u­lar ba­sis, help them get dressed, make a sand­wich or help them get to bed, be it fam­ily, a friend or neigh­bour, this event is for you.”

Leisure ser­vice provider, Link4Life, will also be host­ing an event to co­in­cide - which will be show­cas­ing sport, health and well­be­ing ac­tiv­i­ties in the bor­ough.
