A MIDDLETON sixth form has been shortlisted for a prestigious title at the annual Educate Awards.

Cardinal Langley RC Sixth Form is up for Most Inspirational 16-18 Education Provider at the largest education awards in the north west, which are now in their seventh year.

The school is up against three other colleges and sixth forms in the awards which recognise educational establishments delivering outstanding teaching, helping students to achieve their full potential.

The judging panel has selected finalists in a total of 21 categories and the winners will be announced on Friday, November 16, at Liverpool Cathedral.

Kim O’Brien, founder of the Educate Awards, said: “We are delighted to finally reveal the shortlist ahead of the awards ceremony in November. This year’s shortlist includes schools and colleges from all across the region.

“The awards recognise the arts, careers, sport, literacy, STEM and so much more – we believe it’s so important to celebrate all aspects of school life and champion the teachers and school support stars who bring learning to life. Congratulations and good luck to Cardinal Langley.”
