A timely show by group

Middleton Guardian - - CHILDREN IN NEED -

YOUNG actors from a church drama group celebrated their 25th anniversary production at Middleton Arena.

The Kids Praise Theatre Workshop, a Christian group based at Alkrington and Providence URC in Middleton performed The Doctor and the Lord of Time at the venue.

The play took inspiration from the BBC TV series Doctor Who and featured a medley of many of the past shows performed by the group since it was founded in 1994. To mark the special milestone this year cast members met with the mayor of Rochdale, Coun Mohammed Zaman, at their performance.

John Ronan, who helps to organise the group, said: “Our production was once again a great success and I would like to thank all those who made it possible.”

The actors are now preparing for their next show, after receiving an invitation from Coun Zaman to perform at the Civic Charity Ball next year.
