A FESTIVE window dressing competition has been held to celebrate Small Business Saturday.

MP Liz McInnes spent Saturday in Middleton judging the competition.

The competition, organised by Middleton Town Centre Management, was a huge success and Liz judged the entries alongside Councillor Donna Williams.

Ms McInnes, who is Member of Parliament for Heywood and Middleton, praised the creativity of the town’s small businesses.

She said: “Small Business Saturday is a celebration of all the fantastic small companies in our communities, and I had a great time with Councillor Donna Williams judging the Middleton Town Centre Management window dressing competition.

“Thank you to all the participating shops. There were some fantastic entries but the most spectacular was Silhouette Beauty on Long Street with their silver-themed decorations both inside and out.

“Congratulations to Silhouette Beauty and thank you to all our local small businesses for the terrific and important hard work you do all year round.”
