Man faces Christmas in custody
A MAN charged over an attack will be spending Christmas behind bars.
Jon Wright, of Townley Street, Middleton, appeared before Liverpool Crown Court alongside two other defendants on Monday (December 4).
Emergency services were called to the scene on Newington and Renshaw Street in Liverpool in the early hours of Saturday morning, to reports that a fight had broken out.
A man in his 30s was taken to hospital with serious head injuries, while two other men suffered minor injuries.
After the incident, two men and a teenage girl were charged with a number of offences and appeared at Liverpool Crown Court yesterday.
Mr Wright, 36, was charged with affray, assault occasioning ABH, assault by beating of an emergency worker, and assault by beating,
Nikesh McHugh, 24, of Manorfields, Crawley, West Sussex, was charged with affray, assault occasioning ABH and wounding without intent.
Both have been remanded in custody and will reappear at Liverpool Crown Court on January 2 next year.
Dilesha McHugh, 19, of Moorfields, Crawley, West Sussex, was charged with affray, assault by beating, and common assault.
She was released on conditional bail after yesterday’s hearing.
