Camellia sasanqua ‘mine-no-yuki’ THE sasanqua camellias are sometimes known as Christmas camellias due to their seasonal flowering.

‘Mine-no-yuki’ translates to English as ‘snow on the ridge’, a lyrical description of the snowy white blossoms of this beautiful shrub.

Also called ‘White Doves’, the semidouble blossoms have yellow and gold stamens, the leaves are dark, glossy and green.

Its weeping habit and compact size make it an excellent choice for small gardens.

Grow in acidic, well-drained, rich soil with a thick layer of mulch for moisture retention in summer. Dappled shade is perfect and avoid east-facing positions where morning sun and frost can damage buds.
