Up to 5,000 people will be able to take part in the Gung Ho! Seriously Fun 5k on Saturday, April 6, when it returns for its fourth year, with new and improved obstacles.

Organiser Alex Winters, a former CBeebies presenter, said: “Every event has just got better and better and now we are looking forward to coming back and putting on our best Seriously Fun 5k yet.

“Expect the same GungHo! fun, but bigger and better. We will be working extremely hard to make each event fresh and exciting, so that even if you have taken part before, going Gung-Ho! in 2019 will be even more exciting than it was the first time.

“When I was younger I dreamed of taking part in TV shows like Fun House and It’s a Knockout, and I know millions of others did too.

“Well, now we are giving people across the country the chance to roll back the years and live out every kid’s dream.”

Runners must be at least 4ft tall and will receive a free bib, T-shirt and headband.

Tickets to the event cost £28 until midnight on Monday, January 7 and are available from www. be
