The Beeb’s iplayer was overwhelmed and CRASHED as scores of blokes pointed their browsers towards theonline version of the two-part mini-series set in the First World War.

They were looking for the bit in sunday night’s episode where the story’s protagonist Stephen Wesford – played by actor Eddie Redmayne, 30 – begins a sizzling affair with his boss’s young French wife Isabelle Azaire – played by 127 Hours beauty Clémence Poésy.

The pair embark on a passionate affair after Isabelle’s older husband René starts beating her up in frustration at being unable to father a child.

Viewers watched transfixed as Clémence, 29, bared her NAKED BOOBS for the cameras.

At one stage actor Eddie’s character is even seen burying his head between her legs!

A BBC insider said: “The number of people logging on has been phenomenal.

“I don’t think iplayer has had this many hits since Pippa Middleton’s bum made that infamous appearance at the Royal Wedding last year.”

The second and final part of Birdsong – based on the book by Sebastian Faulks – goes out on BBC1 this Sunday at 9pm. VIEWING figures for kids show Blue Peter are set to soar this week as sexy Sara Cox is hosting the show!

The saucy minx will have to rein herself in as she normally talks non-stop about nookie and bodily functions.

Sara, 37, confessed she makes noises like a squawking turkey when she has sex and wees in the shower!

The babe, who was one of the ladettes of the 90s, would admit to all manner of embarrassing things when she hosted the Breakfast Show on Radio 1.

Speaking about her sex scenes in the TV series The Young Person’s Guide To Becoming A Rock and Roll Star, she said: “I had to make some naughty noises.

“I based it on imagining real sex and I was going: ‘ Oh my God! Oh my God!’

“The director came up to me afterwards and said: ‘Yes, that was very good, but it was also very loud!’ And I

‘Well, that’s what I’m said: like!’

“I sound like some kind of guinea fowl! Forget Meg Ryan in When Harry Met Sally.

Injure

“I go for it! I was brought up on the farm, you know.”

And she says she loves her big boobs but has to keep them covered up, adding: “If I didn’t wear a bra I’d injure passers-by.”

Now Sara is a mum-ofthree, she has toned down her wild antics, and will be on her best behaviour when she fills in for Helen Skelton, who just finished her trek to the South Pole.

But old habits die hard and her fella, advertising boss Ben Cyzer might want to rinse the shower out before he gets in for a wash.

Sara said her worst habits were: “Weeing and blowing my nose in the shower.

“I blow my nose football style, but what’s worse is I’ve got a big mirror in the shower so I can watch when I do it.

“That’s wrong isn’t it?”
