showed how they can make the breakthrough against Napoli.

He said: “The games are really tight when teams are playing against us and it is really difficult to score goals.

Creativity

“They defend with 11 players behind the ball so it is very hard but when we have clever players with a lot of creativity like Juan, and like Lamps who is always involved in my goals, it is always better to play with them.

“We all know what we have to do. We know what Andre was trying to teach us was very good.

“But we also have to have the desire, the courage and the speed during the game and the intensity of the game had to improve.

“That is what we are trying to do now, we are trying to play quicker, to run, to do some movement even without the ball.

“It is difficult when we have been struggling to do that in the last few months and it is going to take time, but I hope it’s going to come often.” Mata admits it is do or die against the Serie A outfit – and promised to hit Napoli hard from the off.

The Spaniard (left) said: “Wednesday is like a final and we have to win at least 2-0.

“I think we can do it, we’re confident after Saturday and we’ll try to give 100 per cent to qualify.

“In football nothing is impossible and at Stamford Bridge we have had good results in the Champions League.

“From the first minute we have to try to create chances to score.

“We know they have very good strikers and we have to be careful with them, but we will press from the first minute.”

And midfielder Ramires believes Chelsea did enough in Naples to show they can pull off a win.

He said: “We had our chances to score there and we didn’t take them.

“But I think if we play well, we will have lots more opportunities to score at home.

“I don’t think it’s too difficult to score two at home – or even more.”
