Your country needs to get rid of Stalin
A POSTER featuring the iconic “Your country needs you” image has been ditched – after a complaint it looked too much like Stalin.
The World War One recruiting poster, featuring Lord Kitchener, was chosen by Archaeology Scotland to advertise a history workshop.
But it was taken down from the walls of the Merkinch Partnerhsip’s offices after a complaint from Polish resident Jakub Pruchnik, who mistook the moustached Brit Lord for Russian tyrant Joseph Stalin.
He said his wife’s grandparents were sent to Siberia by Stalin’s regime, which also killed many of his countrymen in 1940.
When his error was revealed he apologised and agreed the poster could be displayed.
But the partnership, which receives public funding, nevertheless decided that Lord Kitchener should stay in the bin. HERE’S telly totty Anthea Turner flashing the boobs hubby Grant Bovey will miss after being dumped by the presenter.

A source close to him says he’s admitted knowing the woman, but denies having an affair while his wife was filming a TV show in Canada.
He said: “The thought of him spending the rest of his life without Anthea and not seeing her lovely pert boobs again is driving him mad – it’s all a big misunderstanding.”
Anthea, from Stoke-on-Trent, began her broadcasting career on the radio before going on to present TV shows including Top Of The Pops and GMTV.
She married Bovey in 2001, two years after he left his wife Della, and went on to take part in Celebrity Big Brother.
Two years ago she agreed to appear as a judge on Canadian reality series Dinner Party Wars on Food Network Canada.
