The Time Lord – who returned to our TV screens last week – said he’s constantly asked why he’s not on his time travelling machine when getting on a plane.

Matt, 29, said: “Every single airport, every single airport! If you work in an airport and you see me, don’t say, ‘You didn’t bring your Tardis then?’

“No, I didn’t. Because why in the hell would I be queuing up?”

And he’s had his fair share of encounters with crazy fans in the past too; one woman tried to grab a snog ‘cos he looks like her hedgehog!

Matt recalled: “I was in Wales when a lady told me I was an exact replica of her pet hedgehog.” X FACTOR babe Cher Lloyd made a basic fashion error – wearing a skirt that doesn’t cover up her pert bottom!
