Rebel Bez: Politics is just like dancing!

Midweek Sport - - NEWS -

HAPPY Mondays dancer Mark ‘Bez’ Berry admits that his anti-fracking Reality Party is inspired by his wild music career.

The 50-year-old, born in Bolton, Gtr Manchester, said that both his politics and music were expressions of “rebellion”.

He added: “There’s no difference between the Bez you see on and off stage.

“It’s just a different kind of expression.

“I’m still rebelling against the system, but now I’m rebelling through politics instead of dancing.”

Last year, Bez – who won Celebrity Big Brother back in 2005 – announced he would stand as a candidate for the Salford and Eccles constituency in Manchester.

He is the founder and leader of the Reality Party, and is running on a platform of “free energy, free food and free anything”.
