WOMEN sleep with more blokes in their lifetime now than ever in history – a saucy new study has shown.

Scientists have found that the number of ladies jumping on the hobby horse has DOUBLED in the last 20 years.

Figures released by University College London show horny women bed an average of eight guys nowadays, compared to just four in the 1990s.

But male readers will be happy to know that men still have the edge in the bonking stakes, dipping their wick in 12 ladies during their lives.

The stats show, though, that the figure is down on 10 years ago, when guys slept with an average of 13 ladies.

Professor Kaye Wellings, of the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, said: “We can see that the pace of change has been different for men and for women in the last decades. The gap previously seen between them has been closing.

“For some aspects of sexual behaviour, for example numbers of partners it has narrowed, for others, such as age at first sex, it has closed. And yet in other respects, such as same-sex experience, women have overtaken men.”

The poll also found that people are now having sex less frequently than they were 10 years ago due to busy working lives.

On average both men and women have sex just three times a month compared to five in the 1990s – and iPads and smartphones are to blame.

Gorgeous Jane Flowers, 20, from Colchester, said: “Nothing gets between me and a good seeing-to.

“If my fella has his head in a tablet computer or he’s on his phone, a good flash of my tits usually gives him the message that it’s time to turn it off and turn me on.

“And if he doesn’t there are plenty more fish in the sea.”

The study asked 15,000 British adults aged between 16 and 44.
