Broadchurch’s cops a mystery to real police

A COP has slammed TV crime show Broadchurch saying it is not realistic enough.

After the latest episode viewers were left totally confused and on the edge as Det Sgt Ellie Miller and Det Insp Alec Hardy (above) probe the rape of Trish Winterman.

As the credits rolled viewers were none the wiser as to who may have done the deed.

But one cop was investigating a different part of the plot.

Steve Dykes, of Plymouth, Devon, questioned the show’s plentiful pool of staff and the long hours the cops were putting in.

His tweets said: “# broadchurch. What wouldn’t happen in real life: 1. Wouldn’t get a D.I and D.S going out to the jobs. 2. Or doing the ABE interview. 3. Or working 24hrs a day. 4. You wouldn’t get 7 coppers on a team investigating the rape. Be blinking lovely in ideal world!
