RITA ORA GETS A PANIC ROOM AFTER RAID TERROR

-

POP babe Rita Ora is said to be living in FEAR after her home was broken into 18 months ago.

The Hot Right Now singer is so scared of a repeat of the crime that she’s shelled out to have a PANIC ROOM built into her house.

Rita has reportedly paid £20,000 to have the state of the art room installed by her bedroom – along with CCTV cameras, electronic gates and motion-sensor lights.

A source close to the star said: “Rita is still incredibly shaken up by what happened that night and continues to have horrendous nightmares.

“Although the perpetrator is in prison, it has not eased her peace of mind – and she has been living in almost constant fear that something similar would happen again.

“Because Rita is in the public eye, she remains a target for thieves so she had a security team completely overhaul her personal security.

“At the press of a button, a huge steel wall slides down from the ceiling, blocking her off from any intruders.

“From here, she can call police and any would-be burglars cannot touch her. It was expensive, but you cannot put a price on safety.”

The 26-year-old was left ‘ mentally scarred’ by the incident in 2015 when Charaf Elmoudden broke into her £1.3million London home while she was sleeping.

He fled with £200,000 worth of iPhones, Apple Mac computers, jewels and designer handbags belonging to the America’s Next Top Model host.

But the singer’s sister Elena, who lived with her at the time, woke up to find the burglar rooting through her personal belongings and alerted Rita.

At the trial in June last year, the court heard Rita’s panicked 999 call as she begged the police to come. She said: “Don’t f**king come up these stairs. I will f**k you up,.

“I have just locked myself in my room, my sister saw him in my room. Can you just send them right now?

Elmoudden was sentenced to five years in jail for the crime.
