Corrie Adam grabs big part on Hollyoaks

FORMER Corrie actor Adam Rickitt has traded soap cities – with a move from Manchester to Chester.

The 38-year-old soap star, who played Nick Tilsley on Coronation Street until 2004, will join the cast of C4’s rival soap Hollyoaks.

He’ll play Nancy Osborne’s ex-boyfriend Kyle and will appear on screen in April.

He said: “I am really happy to be joining Hollyoaks. I’ve had a lot of friends work on the show throughout the years and they’ve all told me what an amazing place it is.

“It’s really good to be a part of such a welcoming crowd.

“The key interest for me was in the storylines lined up for Kyle. I think they are amazing, taking the character on a real journey and something I am really enjoying playing a part in.

“Fingers crossed the audience like the surprises as they keep coming…”

Adam joined the ITV soap in 1997 and stayed for two years before releasing hit single I Breathe Again.
