DEC: I’LL QUIT IF THERE’S NO ANT!

-

TELLY star Declan Donnelly has said there’s NO WAY he’ll work without his troubled presenting partner Ant McPartlin.

Dec, 41, has ruled out working on screen with anyone else and will wait for his boyhood pal to recover before going on telly again.

His best friend and ‘ brother’ Ant is currently in recovery for an addiction to prescription drugs and a drink problem but Dec is confident Ant will make a full recovery quickly.

Recent reports suggested that the duo’s showbiz pal and fellow presenter Holly Willoughby, 36, could step in on this year’s I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! but Dec has allegedly point blank refused.

He has reportedly said he won’t fly to Australia without Ant by his side, even if good friend Holly was to step in.

A good friend of the Geordie double act said: “Dec wouldn’t work on any major show without Ant and the last thing he would do is go to Australia without him. BROTHERS: Ant and Dec FRIEND: Holly to sort things out, so the hope is that Ant will bounce back.”

Ant, 41, shocked the nation last month when he revealed his problems with prescription drugs and drink to the world.

The popular and much-loved telly star checked himself into rehab and confided in his best friend Dec and wife Lisa about his struggles.

He became hooked on pain relief drug Tramadol while he was suffering with chronic knee pain and would often go out on binges.

Bosses a ITV have previously said they would be willing to either find new hosts or even delay the show if Ant hadn’t made a recovery by November.
