Moped teen ‘critical’ after ‘tactical stop’
A TEENAGER is in a critical condition in hospital after police conducted a “tactical stop” of his moped.
The Independent Police Complaints Commission is investigating the officers’ actions after the incident in Bexley, south-east London, on Tuesday.
The Metropolitan Police said officers identified a moped with pillion passenger being driven dangerously at 1.20am.
Upon sighting police, the pillion passenger got off the moped and fled.
The rider – a 17-yearold male – was injured during the “tactical stop”.
