TEACHER’S SEX ROMPS WITH TEEN STUDENT She sent text admitting it

AN English teacher has been arrested on suspicion of having sex with a 17-year-old male student.

Authorities in Florida say the student travelled to the Tampa home of 29-year-old Caroline Lawson and the pair allegedly had consensual, unprotected sex.

Alleged text messages between Lawson, an English teacher at Lennard High School in Ruskin, and an unidentified individual are being used investigation.

In the alleged texts exchange, Lawson writes: ‘I cheated on [redacted] with a student.’

The individual replies: ‘When you say cheated, do you mean slept with?’ Lawson replies: ‘Yes’. The teacher resigned from her school post on Friday and was arrested at her home on the same day.

She has been charged with in the unlawful sexual activity with a minor and her bond was set at $30,000.

Hillsborough County Public Schools released a statement to parents alerting them to the facts of the case.

The school said that Lawson had been an employee since August 2014 and had had no previous complaints or issues.
