TV BABE: MY HOTEL ROMPS WITH ROBBIE!
‘If I’d been caught my career would have been over’
TELLY presenter Denise Van Outen says she wouldn’t have a career if her wild partying antics had been caught on camera.
The 43-year-old blonde bombshell was one of the 90’s party girls and rubbed shoulders with some of Britain’s most iconic stars.
However, she’s thankful there were no photographers on hand to catch her late-night behaviour, as she reckons she would have never had a telly career.
She said: “On the nights we did go out, we went large. The things we used to get up to…
“When I think back, we’d go to the Metropolitan hotel and have a whole floor with everyone there.
“All the Oasis lot, the Appletons, Robbie Williams, everyone was in all these rooms coming out and partying.
“There were no photographers, no one watching you. And it all went on. Wouldn’t happen now.
“All I’m really glad about is that I managed to have a lot of fun without getting caught.
“Anyone who was around in the 90’s would say ‘Cor, we were lucky, weren’t we?’ Cos I wouldn’t have a career…”
Nutty
Despite being well known for her hedonistic nights out in London, Denise joked she’s not changed much since then.
Telly host Denise reckons she might even drink more now than she ever did in the nineties and still loves a good night on the tiles.
She added: “I’ve got a lot of nutty friends, but I think I normally outlast all of them. I’m always the last to go to bed.
“I’ve had a few mad nights out. The best place for a mad night out to go to is The Box in London.
“You sort of go in and you get lost.”
Now the voiceover for ITV2’s hit reality show The Only Way Is Essex, Denise is also a regular on popular daytime show Loose Women.
Not content with her success on the small screen, she’s also set to branch out onto the silver screen next year.
Denise has spent the last year transforming her one-woman show Some Girl I Used To Know into a film.
Due to start filming early next year, the stage show turned film will be set in Ibiza.
She has reportedly lined up a stellar British cast to front her new venture.
