Brendan: I’d die for Mrs Brown

Midweek Sport - - NEWS -

COMEDIAN Brendan O’Carroll says he would love to DROP DEAD performing on stage.

Brendan ( above), 62, is best known as Agnes Brown in BBC comedy Mrs Brown’s Boys and his ideal death would be while playing his iconic character.

He said: “I’d love to die on stage. That would be the perfect ending for me, like Tommy Cooper did. I’d be delighted.

“When you love what you’re doing, it’s not a job, so if you’re in the middle of telling a gag and God decides boom, now’s the moment, then that’s the moment.

“You hit the deck. What a way to go!”

Irish-born Brendan lives in Florida thanks to his rags-to-riches story, which began in 1992.

When asked to read a few lines on a radio show, Brendan insisted he could make the script funnier and Mrs Brown’s Boys was born.

It’s a real family affair off-screen too with Brendan’s wife Jennifer Gibney, 53, playing Cathy Brown and six other family members all starring in the show. VIRUSES can get infected by viruses.
