Prime Suspect audition hit Freddie for six

-

FORMER England cricketing ace Andrew ‘Freddie’ Flintoff revealed he was once asked to audition for a role in classic drama Prime Suspect.

Freddie, 40, is currently in Kay Mellor and Nick Lloyd Webber’s Fat Friends the Musical – which is based on the hit ITV series.

But his acting career could have started a lot earlier.

He revealed Prime Suspect author Lynda La Plante, 74, wanted him to audition for last year’s prequel series.

Ex-England captain Freddie (above) said: “I said, ‘I’ll have a try’.

“I had no experience, no nothing. I got to the last two or three

“I didn’t get it because I think the network thought it was too much of a risk, which I was fine with.”

After losing out on the Prime Suspect gig, Freddie was then invited to meet Kay, 66, and he then bagged his role on the stage show Fat Friends the Musical.

And his first acting role has given him food for thought. He said: “I can’t imagine I’m going to be in the next Phantom, but I would like to do drama on TV.

“I’m doing the very best I can. And if people want to come and watch me do this, that’s their decision.” THE historic news of the first manned powered flight by the Wright Brothers first appeared in the magazine Gleanings in Bee Culture. STUNNING Victoria Silvstedt shot to fame at the 1993 Miss World beauty pageant but she’s still got her jaw-dropping figure.

The beauty but almost spilled out of her white bikini top when she bent over while soaking up the sun in the West Indies isle of St Barts over the weekend.

Victoria, 43, managed to get a grip – as did many of her male admirers!
