SCHOOL DINNER LADY’S SEX TEXTS TO BOY PUPIL
A DINNER lady has pleaded guilty to sending nude pics and sexually explicit texts to a student aged 15.
Krista Muccio, 44, initially tried to defend herself from the charges by claiming that the messages were protected free speech under America’s first amendment.
Lawyers representing her had attempted to challenge Minnesota’s “sexting” law but were unsuccessful.
Muccio entered in a plea of guilty to communication with a MUCKY PHOTOS: Krista Muccio minor describing sexual conduct.
Jim Backstrom, prosecuting, said: “This statute was enacted for the important purpose of prohibiting sexually explicit speech directed at a child that is intended to cause sexual arousal.
“We are pleased to bring Krista Muccio to justice for violating this law.”
An additional charge of possession of pornographic material involving minor is still being considered by the court and will be addressed next month.
A pre-sentence investigation has been launched and she will learn her fate when it’s complete.
In November 2014, Muccio sent explicit photos to the 15-year-old student at Grove Heights Middle School through Instagram’s direct message feature – and asked him for “something in return”.
That prompted the male student to then share snaps of his own private parts with Muccio, court documents said.
The criminal complaint also states that the student had known Muccio since he was 13.
Police began investigating Muccio after the boy’s father found the photos saved to an iPad.
