BBC bosses are reportedly set to ‘break the bank’ to lure stunning actress Michelle Keegan to Strictly Come Dancing.

But they’re allegedly facing a stumbling block in the shape of her husband, Mark Wright, who isn’t happy about the thought of his wife cosying up to another man.

With rumours of a Strictly ‘curse’ which breaks up relationships dogging the contestants every year, Mark is reportedly trying to stop his wife from signing up.

Gorgeous

Michelle, 30, to watched Mark, 31, as he took part on the show in 2014 alongside Karen Clifton, 35, but he allegedly isn’t happy about his wife doing the same.

As well as her gorgeous looks, Michelle’s young fan base is set to be very attractive to BBC bosses as they aim to appeal to a wider audience.

A source said: “Everyone knows that having Michelle Keegan out on the Strictly dance floor would be ratings gold.

“She has a huge and loyal fan base, but more importantly to bosses, they know her supporters are young.

“That’s a demographic they are desperate to attract to the show and something they are willing to break the bank for.”

It seems Mark has every right to be concerned, with 12 relationships and marriages crumbling under the ‘curse’ over the 14 series.

Strictly’s male professionals are, unsurprisingly, said to be rubbing their hands with glee at the prospect of being paired with former Corrie babe Michelle.

The source added: “Everyone thinks she would set the dancefloor alight.”

A pal close to the Michelle and Mark said: “Michelle really wants to do Strictly, and once she’s put her mind to something it usually happens. Now she’s just got to convince Mark.”
