Prendergast claimed their relationship ended several days before she was reported to police in March, but later she confessed to continuing the affair with the youngster.
After a string of texts and FaceTime sessions, the couple even met at her home, which she claimed doubled up as a private counselling practice.

He said the movement of the five female animals could have destabilised the truck they were travelling in.
The driver was not injured, the spokesman said, but one of the elephants sadly died at the scene.
The four surviving animals – three of them with minor cuts and one with injured legs – are being treated by vets at a public facility before being moved to a clinic.
