A LIDL supermarket girl used her lover’s cocaine-dealing to fund a lavish lifestyle – but ended up in court after posting self-incriminating pics on social media.

Emily Lock, 22, was nabbed after sharing selfies of “extravagant” holidays in Miami, Paris and Dubai.

She also showed off her wardrobe of designer clothes, handbags and jewellery – despite her earning only £10,000-a-year as a checkout worker in Lidl while studying law and criminology.

She was caught out by posting pics on Instagram of fashions by Chanel, Versace Louis Vuitton and Christian Louboutin along with Christian Dior perfume from her shopping trips around the world.

Prosecutor Roger Griffiths said: “She posted pictures of herself living the high life on Instagram.

Extravagant

“Her real salary was far removed from this kind of extravagant lifestyle.”

Mr Griffiths added that £50,000-worth of designer goods were found from luxury brands including Rolex, Gucci, Cartier and Vivienne Westwood.

She posted pictures of her shopping at Harrods and in Dubai and was due to fly out for a break in Thailand but was arrested before the trip took place.

Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court heard her lavish living was actually funded by her drug-dealer boyfriend Mark Price, 27, who made £1,600-a-week from selling cocaine.

Price and his drug gang were rumbled when police raided their homes and found evidence of their dealing operation.

Price – who drove a £33,000 Audi S4 – admitted possession with intent to supply cocaine and fraud.

Lock admitted acquiring criminal property.

Andrew Taylor, defending Lock, said she achieved three grade A’s at A-level and was taking a degree in law and criminology.

She hoped to train as a probation officer but started working part-time at Lidl to earn money, before she become obsessed with living like a celebrity.

Mr Taylor told how “many young people today are fixated by having a Kim Kardashian type of lifestyle”.

He added: “She likes the high life but she is devastated by her arrest. She has been incredibly naive and has lost everything.”

Lock, of Llanbradach, near Caerphilly, was jailed for 15 months as her boyfriend Price was jailed for seven years after admitting acquiring criminal property.

Jeffery Jones, defending Price, claimed he had been “immature” and said he was “not a racketeer”.

But Judge Tom Crowther QC replied: “He was a racketeer, but he wasn’t very good at it.

“You don’t get mitigation for being a bad drug dealer.”

Fellow gang member Kyle Crowley, 28, admitted supplying cocaine and producing cannabis and was jailed for five years.

His partner Dionne Thomas, 25, admitted acquiring criminal property and was handed 120 hours of unpaid work.

Christopher Morgan, 30, admitted producing cannabis with intent to supply and was jailed for 20 months.
