BANNED FOR LIFE: Catherine Jones A HEAD teacher who kept a stash of HARDCORE PORN on her school iPhone has been BANNED from the profession for LIFE.

Catherine Jones, 42, from Oldham, Gtr Manchester, was found guilty of unacceptab­le profession­al conduct and conduct that may bring the profession into disrepute at a hearing.

Two of her fellow teachers had voiced concerns over Ms Jones’ behaviour and she was suspended pending an investigat­ion.

But the investigat­ion revealed the teacher had recorded and stored a catalogue of porn on her school iPhone.

She had also allegedly asked a junior staff member to transfer the X-rated images from her work phone to her laptop.

And it seems she’s still enjoying her success as she showed off her curves on a recent beach break.

The panel heard when she was given a new iPhone for work in June 2015, she asked an IT apprentice to back up her previous phone’s images to her laptop.

The staff member said that “when backing up the device, he had seen images of an explicit sexual nature”.

Two other staff reported seeing “images of explicit sexual acts” and “explicit sexual activity” on her mobile.

Ms Jones also posted jokes in poor taste and vulgar comments on her Facebook page, along with strong personal and political opinions, while making it clear she was a head teacher.

As well as storing porn on her phone, the panel heard she’d also taken £350 from a collection box to help pay her mortgage and altered pupils’ marks in national exams.

Ms Jones worked as the head teacher of Stoneleigh Academy from September 2012 until May 2016.

Alan Meyrick, for the Education Secretary, said he considered the panel’s comments and banned Ms Jones from the profession for life, adding: “These behaviours include serious dishonesty – theft of school resources and cheating in national exams.

“This means that Ms Catherine Jones is prohibited from teaching indefinite­ly. In view of the seriousnes­s of the allegation­s found proved against her, Ms Jones shall not be entitled to apply for restoratio­n of her eligibilit­y to teach.”
