Final viewing breaks record
THE final broke records for ITV2 on Monday, with an average of 3.6million viewers tuning in to watch Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham being crowned the winners.
The extended episode of the programme, which aired from 9pm until 10.40pm, peaked with an audience of 4.1million, according to overnight ratings.
ITV said it marked the biggest audience ever for an ITV2 programme, and that it was the most-watched show in its timeslot across all channels.
Last year’s final was watched by an average of 2.6million. In consolidated ratings, including those viewing via the ITV Hub, this series’ average is at five million per episode, ITV said.
Paul Mortimer, ITV’s head of digital channels and acquisitions, said: “
