Am­bu­lance thief told cops: ‘Why leave it un­locked?’

A SE­RIAL of­fender has been ar­rested for the 39th time af­ter she stole an AM­BU­LANCE and led po­lice on a high speed chase.

Au­thor­i­ties even­tu­ally brought the ve­hi­cle to a halt with a po­lice spike strip and Christy Woods was ar­rested.

While be­ing taken to Ore­gon’s Dou­glas County Cor­rec­tions cen­tre, Woods told cops: “Why would they leave it un­locked?”

She also cursed: “F**k, I’m go­ing to prison.”

Woods (above), of Rose­burg, Ore­gon, was booked on 14 charges, in­clud­ing as­sault, in­ter­fer­ing with paramedics, crim­i­nal mis­chief and reck­less driv­ing.

The 37-year-old has an ex­ten­sive rap sheet, mostly for dis­or­derly con­duct, tres­pass­ing, crim­i­nal mis­chief, ha­rass­ment and vi­o­lat­ing pa­role.

She has now had 39 recorded brushes with Dou­glas County law en­force­ment in Ore­gon since 2011.
