Boozy Yank military drink Reykjavik dry

Midweek Sport - - NEWS -

YANK soldiers drank pubs and bars in Iceland’s capital Reykjavik DRY in a single weekend.

The huge booze session happened after the largest NATO military exercise since the Cold War – called Trident Juncture 18.

A “significant number” of American military personnel drank pubs and bars in Reykjavik completely clear of beer.

Bars were forced to make emergency beer runs under the onslaught of thirsty sailors and marines.

Beer is expensive in Reykjavik and typically sells for around £6.
