Teen kills mum after low grade row
A TEENAGE boy has been charged with killing his mum after an argument over poor exam results.
Gregory Ramos, 15, ( confessed to strangling Gail Cleavenger, 46, after the row.
He used a wheelbarrow to load his mother’s body into her van and then drove it to a church where he buried the body under a fire pit.
Police said Ramos admitted killing her while she was asleep.
No-one else was home at the time and his father was away in Seattle on business.
The investigation began after Ramos reported that his house had been burgled by intruders who had taken computers, a Playstation 4 and a rifle, along with other items.
He also told detectives his mum was missing.
According to the sheriff’s department, Ramos enlisted two of his classmates to help stage the burglary.
The two 17-year-olds – identified as Dylan Ceglark and Brian Porras – have also been arrested.
“There was a D in one of the subjects and mum was furious at him,” said Volusia County Sheriff Michael Chitwood in Florida last week.
“It’s a sorry tale that he’ll have to live with for the rest of his life.”
