A TEACHER found herself in court for shagging her hubby – after it was revealed she started shaging her spouse when he was a teenage schoolboy.

Despite the passage of time – and that the couple got married after the student graduated – police say a crime still occurred.

Prosecutor Kyle Witt admitted it was a “very unusual case” but added: “You can’t run from the fact that it was a criminal, unlawful relationship.”

Banged

Eddie Black, 47, pleaded guilty to one count of sexual battery and Judge David Trimmer sentenced her to five years of community control with a five-year suspended prison sentence and a £2,000 fine.

As a result of the plea, she must now register as a sex offender.

The former English teacher was charged after her former husband told police he first banged her while he was her pupil.

She admitted to having a sexual relationship with the then 16-year-old from 2003 to 2005.

They married after he graduated from Lancaster High School in Anchorage, Alaska, and later dissolved the marriage in July 2013.

Had the case against Black gone to trial, the state’s evidence would have involved what Witt described as “love letters” containing “inappropriate content” from Black to the student.

When Black was first arrested, Witt said he opted for a public announcement with the intention of bringing forward other victims.

But none came forward and there is no indication there were any other inappropriate relationships.
