Heff’s jacket makes packet
A SMOKING jacket worn by founder Hugh Hefner fetched £30,000 at an auction of the late publisher’s possessions.
Fans and collectors also snapped up items like his college typewriter and the mag’s first issue.
Bidders at the two-day auction conducted in Los Angeles included comic Jim Belushi, who bought a leather-bound script for a 1977 show that the late Hefner hosted for £2,750.
The typewriter, which he used to write Playboy’s first issue in 1953 went for £130,000, while his personal copy of the issue itself, featuring Marylin Monroe, sold for £25,000.
