BELLFIELD, WE CONTINUE OUR LOOK AT…
Peter Tobin, who murdered three young women nearly two decades apart, be Britain’s most prolific serial killer, after the monster GP Harold Shipman?
Caged in Edinburgh’s Saughton Prison, Tobin has since bragged of taking 48 lives – and the country’s top criminal psychologist is sure that’s the case.
In 2006, young Polish student Angelika Kluk, 23, was volunteering at St Patrick’s Church in Glasgow and struck up a friendship with church handyman Pat MacLachlan.
She felt safe around the charming older man, who volunteered with the Loaves and Fishes charity that met at the church to hand out food to the homeless.
But on September 24, “MacLachlan” – an alias for convicted rapist Tobin – pounced on her in the church. Angelika was hit with a table leg and bound, gagged and raped.
