NONCE FAKED DEATH TO CHEAT SEX TRIAL

POLICE reckon an alleged sex nonce FAKED his own DEATH to go on the run.

Jacob Scott, 42, who was charged with 14 sex offences, disappeared in July last year from Orange Beach, Alabama – days before he was set to plead guilty in the case.

Police found a dinghy floating in the ocean, a gun tied to the boat and what they describe as a suicide note listing contact information for Scott’s family.

But Deputy US Marshal Katrina Crouse said investigators were suspicious from the beginning, as only a very small amount of blood was found on the dinghy.

She said: “Normally in situations where somebody is shot, committed suicide, you’re going to have other forensic-type evidence – for example, brain matter, hair, skin, bone. None of that was found.” SUICIDE NOTE: Scott
