Hooker fury at tours ban
AMSTERDAM’S plans to scrap tours of its infamous red light district has come under fire – from PROSTITUTES.
Sex workers claim the guided tours are good for business and help educate prospective punters on how to treat them with respect.
Dutch authorities say the tours contribute to congestion in the narrow, canal-side streets where scantily-clad sex workers sit behind windows to attract customers.
But sex workers’ union Proud says the ban will lead to mayhem.
One, who calls herself Velvet, said: “With no guides people will wander into the area themselves.
“They’ll gawk at the women in the windows and take photos because there is no one to inform them how to behave or what the rules are.”
