US stand-up comic Sarah Silverman is posting TOPLESS pictures on Instagram – to make a point about double standards when it comes to nudity.

Earlier this week she posted a selfie in a bathroom mirror, in which she appeared topless, only for Instagram to remove it for violating its “community guidelines”.

She then posted the screenshot of the deleted photo, with a caption pointing out that topless men are socially acceptable, whereas female breasts are considered “obscene”.

Silverman, 48, followed up by re-posting her original selfie with the nipples blacked out, alongside an uncensored image of a topless man.

The comedian has continued to post topless images on her Instagram to illustrate her point – including a naked pregnant woman whose breasts had to be scribbled out and another topless man which does not appear to be considered “obscene” by Instagram.
