A SKATEBOARDER who groped a woman after chasing her to her front door is facing jail.

Jordan King, 25, attacked the woman at 7am on New Year’s Day as she returned home from a night shift.

Prosecutor Jennifer Gatland told Westminster Magistrates’ Court: “The complainant was on the bus after work.”

The victim got off the bus in Hammersmith, west London.

“She was being followed by Mr King,” said Ms Gatland. “Mr King approached her and tried to kiss her.

“He then grabbed her body around her buttock area. He also grabbed her genital area on the outside of her pants.”

Ms Gatland said the victim began ‘shouting for help’ before rushing to her front door, where her boyfriend answered.

“Mr King then followed her all the way to her front door before leaving and walking away.

“It seems that Mr King was detained shortly afterwards, I understand a description was provided.

“Due to his demeanour and appearance, he was taken to hospital.”

In a statement read to the court, the victim said: “I was scared, I thought I was going to be raped.

“If my boyfriend hadn’t come to the door, I believed he was going to rape me.

“He tried pushing the front door open. I would describe him as using his whole hands and his fingers.

“The whole incident has made me scared to travel on my own.”

In interview, King told police: “I was aware I caused harm to someone. I remember trying to kiss a woman and that she was distressed.”

King, of Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex, admitted sexual assault.

He was committed to Isleworth Crown Court to be sentenced at a later date.
