WELCOME to 2020 – where doing stuff that is NOT racist apparently IS racist!
Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion recently treated fans to a visual masterpiece with their collaboration on the WAP music video.
And the duo even included a special cameo, as Kylie Jenner made a very brief but impressive appearance.
But some fans weren’t too pleased with the addition of the Kylie Cosmetics mogul and launched a petition to remove her from the video – which has had more than 24 million views on YouTube.
The Change.org petition has reached more than 37,000 of 50,000 signatures, stating: ‘The video was perfect until we saw K and I wanted to throw my phone.’
One person commented: ‘I was happily enjoying my daily cup of brown women until that culture stealing colonizer showed up and made me spill. Thankyou’
Another wrote: ‘ she is a culture vulture who doesn’t remember how her own complexion looks! down with the culture vultures!!!’
It comes amid several memes throwing shade at the appearance, as many are unhappy with a white woman appearing in a video with black women.
But Cardi came to the defence of the multi-millionaire, posting to Twitter: ‘I wanna say thank you to every woman that was a part of my video!
‘It was so important to me to include different women, that are different races and come from different backgrounds but are so powerful and influential.’
One fan said: “Bollocks to the touchy racial politics. I just enjoyed Kylie’s busters. Phwoar!”
